Lexington, MA |
We are a small company specializing in avionics and
aerospace applications. We recently completed a Phase I
SBIR study in which we designed a small, autonomous,
stealthy airdrop vehicle for SOCOM. The vehicle concept is
well suited for payloads from 8 to 60 pounds, can penetrate
winds and navigate to a target location, then drop
vertically and decelerate to relatively low impact velocity
without the use of parachutes (which could obscure the
sensors being deployed). We are looking for partners
developing sensors that they would like delivered. A
specific topic of interest is N04-145, a topic on
deployable
micro weather sensors.

Stronger, Faster Encryption |
Plano, TX |
Asier Technology offers a completely new data encryption
technology which is far stronger and far faster than any
other available methodology. Asier's software-based,
symetrical encryption uses a 40,000-bit, hierarchical key
for unprecedented levels of security and data-management
flexibility. Yet, even with this extreme key size, the
algorithm can process data at over 200 Mbps on an 800 Mhz
computer. We have encrypted streaming video on a PDA with
no discernable latency. We can encrypt any binary data
including text, graphics, voice, and video. The tiny-
footprint module can be installed easily on virtually any
processor such as laptops, wireless devices, network
devices, PDAs, DSPs, or ASICs.
Asier has won 1 Phase I SBIR contract, 1 Phase I STTR
contract, and has been invited to bid on 1 Phase II SBIR.
We would love to partner with you to make your solution

Assistance with Patents and Research, Electronics & Software Prototypes |
Cambridge, MA |
Dear Inventors, I am an inventor with 2 patents issued and
several patents pending and provisional. I would like to
help inventors with patenting, building prototypes and
marked research.
A few years ago, I had to spend a lot of money on patent
lawyers. I have worked with several lawyers on some of my
patents, and I have perfected the art of patenting. I have
drafted and successfully patented my own inventions in less
than the average 2 years turn around period.
I have excellent references from patent lawyers and clients
and I would like to help inventors patent their inventions
and do marked research for reasonable costs instead of the
300$/hour patent lawyers charge.
I am skilled in software and hardware prototyping and work
with several technologies such as RF, BlueTooth, GPS, Fiber
Optics, infrared sensors... I design custom electronics and
software for industrial prototypes, proof of concepts and
one of a kind products.
If you are interested in my services, please visit my web

Kindest Regards. Ben.

Assistance with Patent Filing and Research, Electronics & Software Prototype |
Boston, MA |
Dear Inventors,
I am an inventor with 2 patents issued and several patents
pending and provisional.
I would like to help inventors with patenting, building
prototypes and marked research.
A few years ago, I had to spend a lot of money on patent
lawyers.
I have worked with several lawyers on some of my patents,
and I have perfected the art of patenting.
I have drafted and successfully patented my own inventions
in less than the average 2 years turn around period.
I have excellent references from patent lawyers and clients
and I would like to help inventors patent their inventions
and do marked research for reasonable costs instead of the
300$/hour patent lawyers charge.
I am also skilled in software and hardware prototyping and
work with several technologies such as RF, BlueTooth, GPS,
Fiber Optics...
I design custom electronics and software for industrial
prototypes, proof of concepts and one of a kind products.
If you are interested in my services, please visit my web
site: www.NorkaTech.com and contact [email protected].
Kindest Regards.
Ben.

Transforming information systems into knowledge management systems |
Plainfield, IL |
At Kindred-Connections, we have develeped a relational
database technology called TCSQL (Turbo Charged SQL) that
provides the ability to transform a legacy relational
information system into a knowledge management system.
TCSQL allows the layering of a rich semantic network
knowledge layer on top of conventional relational tables.
TCSQL supports knowledge inference using conventional
SQL "select" statements and the ability to support object
oriented programming complete with classes, objects,
inheritance, polymorphism, and morphing... right in the
database using standard SQL. To our knowledge, nobody in
the world can offer this capability. We have numerous
patents and awards associated with this work. Lastly, TCSQL
provides the ability to ask pathing questions (e.g.
critical path derivation) declaratively using standard SQL
(without recursion). TCSQL allows replacing a whole class
of classical procedural algorithms to
hierarchy/network/graph problems with declarative SQL
solutions.
We are anticipating TCSQL to revolutionize the database
industry and are looking for a partner to explore the
potential of this technology.

Seeking Solutions to Cracking/Collapse of Containers |
Cleveland, OH |
Seeking Solutions to Cracking/Collapse Problems in
Containers
Caused by Atmospheric Pressure Changes
Seeking rapid, practical solutions to fix both collapse and
cracking problems in containers used for a consumer
application. The containers, filled with a dry powder,
experience failure and leakage caused by atmospheric
pressure changes during transportation through high-
altitude regions. Improvements in the robustness of the
container system are desired to allow the container to
withstand transport and distribution, ideally using as much
of the existing container design as possible.
Possible approaches to reduce product failure include, but
are not limited to:
Possible chemical solutions:
Methods to absorb gases to maintain a constant pressure in
the container.
- A one-way degassing valve that permanently closes after
a specific period of time.
- A two-way valve system that prevents exposure of
product to air/oxygen.
Possible physical solutions that control effect of
atmospheric pressure:
- Methods to compensate for changes in atmospheric
pressure.
- Methods using external packaging (e.g., case, pallet,
etc.) to protect the container from changes in atmospheric
pressure.
- Methods to transport and distribute product that
minimize exposure to atmospheric pressure changes.
Possible physical solutions that relieve mechanical stress:
- A stretchable oxygen barrier film.
- High-speed insertion of reinforcement into rim of
existing container.

Intelligent Multi-dimensional Search and Matching Agorithms |
Sewickley, PA |
Dynamix algorithm technology performs intelligent matching
of structured objects. A structured object is anything
that can be described as a set of data fields. In most
data processing applications, structured data is stored in
relational databases and accessed through precise queries
seeking specific data. However, data frequently has errors
and at times, enquirers seek information that closely
approximates their request. Without a precise query,
finding data in the RDB can be difficult. If the inquiry
is broad, too many results are returned to be meaningful.
In very complex data with tens or hundreds of dimensions,
the search combinatorics become impractical. Dynamix
technology is expressly designed for these kinds of data
matching tasks.
In addition to supporting one-time queries against static
data, the technology also supports real-time, persistent
queries against a continually changing data set, monitoring
a table in real-time with a query set that remains
constantly active. Returned matches provide an
asynchronous alert to a waiting user or application and
allow for actionable detection applications.
The main difference between Dynamix matching and database
technology is the representation of the data to:
allow matches against an in-memory data
representation and
deal with the equivalent of one table at a time,
rather than multiple tables and their relations. Of
course, a Dynamix table could easily come from a relational
join of several underlying persistent database tables.
When used in conjunction with traditional databases,
Dynamix Matching is often viewed as a complimentary
extension to enhance performance or tackle complex tasks.

Non-Invasive Body Chemistry Monitor |
Corpus Christi, TX |
Corpus Christi, TX researcher with medical device and SBIR
Grants award experience looking for corporate partner/
private investor to develop a new non-invasive photonic
body chemistry monitor. Currently there is no real time
monitor for this chemistry. Existing procedures would
astonish most people.
Idea came from discussion with doctor who would like to see
the new device be made available.
There are over 73,000,000 surgeries annually in the US for
which this monitor is needed. The market size would be very
similar to that of the Oxy-pulsimeter, several would be
needed in every operating suite and recovery areas.
Ultimately it could possibly replace the Oxy-pulsometer.
Currently experienced laser and detector companies are
being evaluated to provide the technology expertise.
Several agencies have SBIR and/or STTR topics which would
allow a grant to be submitted to begin development of this
device. The STTR requires that matching funds be used and
to properly take advantage of a SBIR private funding is
necessary to cover time period between the Phase I and
Phase II funding it is also required to cover other areas
of overhead associated with corporate promotion and follow
on Phase III product production, FDA certifications and
marketing. This is a new start-up company also in need of
an experienced CEO, and sitting a Board. CEO would take the
lead in writing a business plan with the help of others
currently involved. A couple of medical doctors are
available for consultation and possible board positions.
Final corporate location is flexible, relocation might be
desirable depending upon situation.
More details are available following the execution of
confidentiality agreements.

company that built its life around developing sophisticated
simulation tools under the DoD SBIR program. At that
company they had a Phase I proposal success rate of
approximately 50%, with about 50% of the Phase I efforts
moving to Phase II. Two efforts were even carried through
Phase III commercialization.
We are looking to partner with any other small businesses
in the Dallas, TX and Washington, DC areas that are
interested in pursuing business opportunities related to
developing simulation models for any part of a product life
cycle or any type of project/program management.

Environmental Applications |
Sheridan, WY |
Our core business is environmental science. We operate
labs and field operations which provide chemical speciation
of air, water, soils, waste materials, etc. We generate
much data and thus provide software to assist our clientele
in deriving meaningful information from this data. We are
very interested in enhancing and automating our data
collection & management capabilities, especially in
spatial/visual environments (e.g. GIS based)
We specialize in the design and operation of unattended,
remotely accessed measurement systems including
meteorology, air pollution and avalanches. Our strongest
expertise is in the atmospheric sciences, especially air
pollution and aerosols, and electrical engineering.
In 1996 we developed a flow measurement technology which
has the inherent benefit of not changing with temperature.
We successfully captured a niche market in ambient air
pollution measurements. Based on its stable performance,
this technology is being further utilized in an OEM
application where other flow sensors fail, and with an
innovative flow throttling technology.
We recently became involved with the infrasonic detection
of avalanches through our 1st SBIR award. Infrasonic
detection has manifold applications, for natural events,
and others. Expertise we offer this application includes
spectral processing, data visualization, and array-based
signal processing, whereby signal location and enhanced
spatial filtering can be accomplished.
R&D with commercial outgrowths is one of our corporate
objectives. We utilize SBIR and other resources to address
this goal. We are interested in working with other
entities in ways that are mutually beneficial. Please
contact us if you have complementary projects or needs.
